Dante Isella
It was as long ago as 1995 when Dante Isella took part in one of the first great initiatives organised and realised by Amici della Scala “for Milan”: it was the conference entitled “Il Castello per Milano” (“The Castle for Milan”), held in the Viscontian rooms of the Sforza Castle. Isella (1922-1977), who is here portrayed in our offices during one of his speeches, was a great literary critic, essayist and academic. The conference saw the contribution of some of the most important scholars and intellectuals of the time, and was held with the support of Mercedez-Benz Italia, Milan branch.
